An accredited reporter for Britain's Independent Television News and his cameraman were reportedly roughed up by police Wednesday as they covered a pro-Tibet protest in Beijing near the Olympic Stadium. John Ray, who is ITN's only full-time China correspondent, was reportedly wrestled to the ground, then removed to a nearby restaurant where police saturday on his arms and one officer stood on his hand despite his declaration, in Chinese, that he was an licensed reporter. "It was very forceful, selfsame rough," Ray told the Washington Post. His cinematographer, Ben England, was also reportedly manhandled by police force when he attempted to film the protest, and his equipment was confiscated. Both work force were detained for about 20 proceedings, then released. The International Olympic Committee said by and by that it would investigate the incident. Born March 19, 1955, in Naples, singer/songwriter Pino Daniele grew up acquisition both classic and traditional Neapolitan guitar, though as a adolescent he became interested in other styles of music, particularly British and American rock. In 1989 Daniele took a step toward greater commercial success with the acquittance of the pop record Mascalzone Latino, followed by some other flood of albums, including 1991's Un Uomo in Blues, 1993's Che Dio Ti Benedica (which had deuce tracks produced by Chick Corea), 1995's Non Calpestare I Fiori Nel Deserto, 1997's Dimmi Cosa Succede Sulla Terra, and 2000's Al Madinah. Two geezerhood later the singer teamed up with gent Italian stars Francesco De Gregori, Ron, and Fiorella Mannoia for a circuit, captured on the befittingly titled In Tour. Rob Cohen - Director Cohen Slams Weisz
Director ROB COHEN has criticised British actress RACHEL WEISZ for refusing to return for the third installment of THE MUMMY trilogy.
The 37-year-old shot to international stardom after appearing in 1999's original movie The Mummy.
And, despite appearing in 2001 follow-up The Mummy Returns, she turned down a role in the forthcoming sequel The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor - blaming the location for her decision. Her representative insisted the actress didn't feel comfortable spending five months shooting in China as her son Henry is not yet two years old.
But the film's director Cohen claims she actually turned down the part because movie bosses had made her character too old.
He tells Britain's Heat magazine, "I got a very angry phone from her agent, saying she'll never play the mother of a 21-year-old. I said, 'OK, good, fine, bye.'"
Weisz has been replaced by Maria Bello in The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor, which is due for release later this year (08).

Lohan to work in morgue as punishment
Actress Lindsay Lohan will work at a morgue as part of her punishment for a drink-driving offence.
The 21-year-old star will complete the work-placement as part of a court-ordered programme, in which she must learn about the dangers of drink-driving.
According to reports, Lohan is due to spend two four-hour days at the morgue, as well as completing a stint working in a hospital emergency room.
The actress was arrested twice last year on charges of driving while under the influence. In August she pleaded guilty to misdemeanour drunken driving and cocaine charges.
Lohan served 84 minutes of her 24-hour jail sentence last November. She must now complete an alcohol education programme and perform 10 days of community service.

Shamed former U.S. skating champion-turned-reality TV star TONYA HARDING has penned a tell-all book in a bid to show the public she doesn't deserve her `bad girl' tag.
In The Tonya Tapes, Harding reveals she was beaten by her exhusband, Jeff Gillooly, and knew nothing about his 1994 clubbing attack on skating rival Nancy Kerrigan, which she was accused of plotting.
Kerrigan was forced to pull out of trials for the 1994 Winter Olympics as a result of her injuries, but was allowed to compete in Lillehammer, Norway, where she won a silver medal.
The skater also writes about her abusive childhood in the book, claiming she was raped - and reveals she has attempted suicide. But she insists the reason she wrote the book was to clear up mistruths and misconceptions about her.
She explains, "I just wanted people to know me for me and not make judgments against me, like, how you see me on TV (sic).
"It's always the black and white interviews, it's not who I am personally."

I was never old enough to sport the trend when it first emerged in the early 90s but I certainly remember it. Not like these fashion-forward hipsters, who were young enough to believe they were donning a fresh, new look, unaware of its Beverly Hills 90210 origins.Of course, the 90s were but one of many eras in which Docs were the footwear of choice - the most notorious being the late 70s, where Docs were a symbol of the punk rock and ska movements - think of mad Uncle Bob's prized Clash, the Damned and Sex Pistols records. Perhaps it was that iconography that brought out the crowd's hooligan attitude - their inner-punks jostling for a fight, for throughout the night, there were a series of bust-ups. A fracas on the dancefloor saw several partygoers enter the fray, while downstairs, more fisticuffs ensued (the results of which have been forever captured for one local band, who recorded their new music video on Sunday afternoon, their bass player sporting a vicious black eye).Indeed, the night might have conjured memories of Auckland's old social scene, once dominated by street brawls and biffo, if anyone there had been old enough to know about it.Perhaps, like so many other trends, this one has finally come full circle. A judge has ruled that troubled pop star Britney Spears must be examined by a court-appointed psychiatrist to determine if she understands the legal proceedings involving her.
Reuters reports that Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered on Monday that the psychiatrist file a report on the 26-year-old's mental condition by 13 February.
On 14 February it will be decided how much longer Spears' assets should remain under the temporary control of her father and his attorney.
Commissioner Gordon also said that a restraining order against Spears' self-styled manager and confidant, Sam Lutfi, forbids him from any form of contact with her.
Spears was taken to the UCLA Medical Center for a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation last week; her stay has now been extended to two weeks.
